Alexandra Gjertson

Alexandra (Alex) Gjertson is from Lafayette, Louisiana. She graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University in 2018, where she majored in political science with a concentration in international politics and law. During her 1L summer, Alex worked as a summer associate for the firm Barrasso Usdin in New Orleans and as a judicial extern for Chief Judge Nannette Jolivette Brown of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. She externed during her 2L year for Judge Michael G. Gotsch, Sr., of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. During her 2L summer, Alex worked again for Barrasso Usdin and as a summer associate for the firm Liskow & Lewis, also in New Orleans. When she is not working, Alex loves cheering on the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers, reading, and spending time with her family.
