April 9, 2014

The Constitutional Law Blog featured Professor Deven Desai’s Article, Constitutional Limits on Surveillance: Associational Freedom in the Age of Data Hoarding, forthcoming in Volume 90 of the Notre Dame Law Review, as its “daily read” on Monday, April 7th.

Professor Desai describes the quantity of data to which law enforcement officers have access as a “honey pot” that entices limitless use of individuals’ personal information.  His Article investigates what constitutional limits exist to protect use of such information, and the source of those limits.
