Ryan Merchant is from Birmingham, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. He graduated with Honor from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University in 2023, earning his B.A. in Supply Chain Management with minors in International Business and French. Before law school, he worked for two years at Lockheed Martin as a global supply chain financial analyst in Texas. During his 1L summer, Ryan interned for Chief Judge Stephen J. Murphy, III, on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in Detroit. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, skiing, playing ice hockey, watching films, and cheering on Detroit sports teams.
