Maria Valera

Maria Valera is a 2L interested in antitrust law and corporate regulatory issues, particularly state government oversight of corporations. She studied Economics and Business at Rice University before law school. During her 1L summer, she worked as a law clerk in the Indiana Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division and as a Research Assistant for Professor Emily Bremer. Maria is an oralist on the Notre Dame Moot Court Board, Vice President of the St. Thomas More Society, and Treasurer of the Christian Legal Society. After 2L, she will join Faegre Drinker as a summer associate in its Washington, D.C. office. In her free time, she enjoys collecting old jazz vinyls, going on long walks with her corgi Robbie, and reading fantasy novels.
