Kaylie Barber
Kaylie Barber grew up in Volant, Pennsylvania. She graduated summa cum laude from Pennsylvania State University, where she majored in Mechanical Engineering and minored in Mechatronics. She acted as a co-Student Marshall for Mechanical Engineering and graduated from Schreyer Honors College, completing a research thesis in compliant origami swimming robots. Before law school, she worked for John Deere Construction and Forestry, where she assisted in testing and data collection on heavy equipment as well as in intellectual property and litigation issues. In addition to Law Review, Kaylie works as a teaching assistant for Professor Julian Velasco’s Contracts class. Kaylie spent her 1L summer with Dinsmôre and Shohl in the patent prosecution practice group, and she will be returning to Dinsmôre for her 2L summer as well as after graduation. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, blacksmithing, woodworking, and running with her fiancé and twin sister.
