History
The Notre Dame Law Review Reflection began in 2014 with the intent to expand the scope of the Law Review and further its mission. Preserving a tradition of excellence dating back to 1925, the Law Review enriches scholarly discourse within the legal community while offering its members a valuable opportunity for training in legal issues and analysis. As a digital supplement to the print edition—named Reflection in honor of Our Lady, Mirror of Justice—the publication maintains and extends this tradition.
Mindful of the Law Review’s mission, Reflection seeks to publish a diverse array of content, including legal analysis from leading practitioners, essays, case comments, response pieces, and student-generated work. It extends the journal’s reach throughout both the legal community and Notre Dame Law School. Reflection accepts submissions from experienced practitioners and professors as well as current students and alumni.
Every year, Reflection publishes pieces that supplement the Law Review’s five print editions. The Law Review prefers to receive submissions for Reflection via Scholastica but will also accept submissions via email at lronline@nd.edu. For those seeking publication, Reflection is no longer accepting submissions for Volume 98. Volume 99 will begin reviewing submissions in February of 2023.
