Sarah Karchunas is from St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Notre Dame in 2015 with a degree in political science and theology. Before beginning law school, she received her M.A. in Theology through the University of Notre Dame’s Echo Program while working full-time at a Catholic parish in Houston. She spent her 1L summer interning at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington’s Hogar Immigrant Services through the Program on Church, State & Society. Within the Law School, Sarah is a brief writer on the Notre Dame Moot Court Board and Vice President of Public Relations of the Women’s Legal Forum. In her free time, Sarah enjoys theology, planning trips to new places, and adding to her lengthy list of favorite places to eat in D.C.
