Mark Nelson is from LaPorte, Indiana. He graduated from Northwestern University in 2016 with a major in Economics. Prior to law school, Mark worked as a business consultant for IBM in Chicago and volunteered as a mentor and Associate Board member for BUILD Chicago, which focuses on gang intervention and prevention in the city. During his 1L summer, Mark worked remotely for Judge McDade in the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and also returned to BUILD as a camp counselor. Mark loves spending time with friends and family on the lake back home in LaPorte, hiking, and pretending to be more than useless at sports.
