Mary-Kathryn Takeuchi

Mary-Kathryn (Katie) Takeuchi is from Tampa, Florida. She graduated from the George Washington University in 2016, where she majored in Economics. Before attending law school, Katie worked for Bay Area Legal Services, an LSC-funded legal aid organization. During her 1L summer, Katie was a research assistant for Professor Jimmy Gurule. She spent her 2L summer in the Summer Law Intern Program (SLIP) with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division, Criminal II Section. After graduation, Katie will clerk for Judge Charles R. Wilson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. In addition to Law Review, Katie is an oralist on the Notre Dame Moot Court Board and a group fitness instructor at Notre Dame RecSports. She is also the owner of the unofficial Notre Dame Law Review mascot, a shih tzu named Otter.
