Garrett Potter

Garrett Potter grew up in Redlands, California. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from UC San Diego in 2007 and worked as a chemist with multiple start-up pharmaceutical companies. He moved to the United Kingdom and earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Manchester in 2015. Following his doctoral degree, Garrett worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Manchester and at Stanford University. In 2017, he was employed as a patent agent with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, working with the Patents and Innovations as well as Patent Litigation groups. He continued working with WSGR during his 1L and 2L studies, and following graduation he will be returning to join the firm’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) litigation practice. In his free time, Garrett enjoys spending time with his wife, Marjorie, and their bernedoodle, Fika, as well as photography, traveling, and finding good coffee.
