Emily M. Dowling

Emily is from Long Island, New York. She has a degree in psychology from Long Island University, where she published an experimental study on motivation and friendship. Before law school, she led group therapy for adults with mood, addictive and psychotic disorders as a mental health counselor at a psychiatric hospital. Emily spent her 1L summer at plaintiff’s bar firm Edelson PC and her 2L summer with Jones Day in Chicago, IL. At Notre Dame, she holds leadership positions with the LGBT Law Forum and Student Bar Association’s Mental Health and Wellness Committee. During her final year of law school, Emily is studying abroad at Tel Aviv University in the Fall and at Notre Dame’s London campus in the Spring. In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking, bad movies, and singing along to her car radio.
