Emily M. Dowling
Emily Dowling is from Long Island, New York. She graduated from Long Island University, earning a degree in Psychology and publishing an experimental study on motivation. Before law school, she worked at a psychiatric hospital as a counselor, facilitating group therapy for adults with mood and psychotic disorders. Emily spent her 1L summer at a plaintiff’s bar firm in Chicago, Edelson PC, pursuing class action and multi-district litigation. Additionally, she served as a part-time Research Assistant for Professor Marah McLeod. At Notre Dame, she is the Inaugural Service Chair of the LGBT Law Forum and Co-Chair of the Student Bar Association’s Mental Health and Wellness Committee. In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking, trying new food, and singing along to her car radio.
