Editing Policies
The Notre Dame Law Review takes pride in its light-handed and efficient editing. Editors are thorough and meticulous in their editing, but accord special importance to author autonomy. The Law Review’s editing process is designed to allow authors to retain a high degree of control over their work. Suggested changes of Law Review editors are subject to author approval.
The Law Review is edited in conformance with the 21st Edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation and the 16th Edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. Each article is given close attention by a team of staff editors and senior editors. The vast majority of editing changes are made “below the line.”
The Law Review also has a strong record of meeting editing and publication deadlines.
