Nicholas is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2017 and practiced as a patent agent before law school. While at Notre Dame, Nicholas interned for the Honorable Ryan T. Holte on the Court of Federal Claims and the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna on the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. During his 2L summer, Nicholas was a summer associate in the D.C. office of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner. Following graduation, he will serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Ryan T. Holte on the Court of Federal Claims. Outside of school, Nicholas enjoys reading science fiction and philosophy, playing trombone, and exploring new cuisines. He has judged barbecue competitions in North Carolina and believes vinegar and barbecue were made for each other.
